Last month Nintendo showed off Wave 4 of its Mario Kart 8 Booster Course DLC, with the very pleasant surprise that Birdo was being added as a playable character. There had been no mention of new playable characters up to that point, so it was a very welcome bonus for some DLC that is already shaping up to be pretty beefy. With Wave 4 now out, it also looks like we’ll be getting five more characters, making a potential total of six (thanks, Eurogamer). If you head to the character select screen, there’s a new column with Birdo at the top, and five question marks below her, which certainly seems to suggest more characters.
